Cross Country Skiing

Back Country Skiing
- For first timers and for people not familiar with the back country routes and snow conditions, this should be done with a guide and perhaps some telemark training at the ski area. But, when you are ready, the adventure will produce memories to last a lifetime.

Adventure Ridge
- Vail Mountain - This is an eating and entertainment facility at the top of the Vail Mountain.
Great for all ages, but kids from 10-20 especially love it. A great way for teens to meet other teens.
You can eat pizza, ice skate, snowboard, play hockey, slide down the hill on innertubes or play video games.
Tell the kids to take the gondola to the top of the mountain and check it out; you and your sweety go to Vendetta's for some pasta and a bottle of wine.
Hut Trips
- 10th Mountain Division offers hut trips into the wildreness for a memorable overnight experience. You can rent an entire hut that will sleep as many as 16 or just book space in one of these huts that you will share with people who have the same outdoor interests that you do. http://www.huts.org
